When everybody on earth was dead and waiting to enter Heaven, God appeared and said, "I want the men to make two lines. One line for the men who were true heads of their household, and the other line for the men who were dominated by their women. I want all the women to report to St. Peter."Soon, the women were gone, and there were two lines of men. The line of the men who were dominated by their wives was 100 miles long, and in the line of men who truly were heads of their household, there was only one man.God said, "You men should be ashamed of yourselves, I created you to be the head of your household! You have been disobedient and have not fulfilled your purpose! Of all of you, only one obeyed. Learn from him."God turned to the one man, "How did you manage to be the only one in this line?"The man replied, "My wife told me to stand here."

I love Ottoman's
LOST on Thursday night...
The poll has closed. And the winner IS.... ...unfortunately due to the nature of 'LOST',we may or may not find out the status of Claire's life. The season finale is tonight... I hope we find out some answers. I know we'll find out more questions. It's always a mystery. Must be why I like it. I enjoyed seeing your opinions even though I didn't know who's opinion was who's. BTW How can a person be both dead AND alive? Then again, how can an island move? how can a 4 toed giant live on the island? what is smokey? Thanks for voting.

I want to ride my bicycle
You may not know this, but last year I rode a bike. Dun-dunt-duuuuuuun. I had a nice little 6 mile trail with one killer hill. I conquered the hill last year. Then it got too cold and too windy. It was the perfect storm. It was a Friday afternoon. I left work early. It was the first 90+ day of the year. I was itching to return to my normal route. A pair of biking gloves had just arrived in the mail. It was the perfect opportunity to return to my old loop. So, off I went. Everything was going fine. It was hot, but the wind was on my side. I was mentally prepared to take on ‘the hill’. This is where the perfect storm converged… Too much lunch in my tummy, too little water to drink, too much sun, too steep of a hill, too thin air. It’s true, I did make it to the top of the hill. Then I was sure I would throw up or pass out or both. Still conscious and all too aware that although I made it to the top of the hill, the hill had conquered me this year, I pulled over and collapsed on the ground. Using the last trusty piece of equipment, I pulled out my cell phone and used (I was sure) my last breath of air to call for a ride home. Never fear, I’m sure like Charlie Brown returning to his kite, I will one day return to ‘the hill’ and resume my triumphant 6 mile ride just like last year.

Dishtowels
(Click on images to see larger, more wonderful, upclose & detailed) I made dish towels with my friend Julie. You'll never guess where we learned to make them! Oh, you are right... at church. It was fun. I did some, she did some. I learned to iron on fanciful shaped fabric and blanket stitch around them. There is one for each month. It is fun and enjoyable. I recommend it to anyone who thinks they might like it too. If you want to make some yourself, you will need lots of time, #8DMC embroidery thread, needle, fabric, patterns, pencil, iron, ironing board, and of course the sticky stuff... wonder under!!! Then you too will have wonderfully themed dishtowels. Hooray! Enjoy this latest attempt of mine at the art of handicraft.

A story
Today at church the lady I work with showed a 2 year old a picture of Jesus. She asked her, "Who is this a picture of?" The little girl replied, "Jesus Christ Amen." We thought it was awfully cute.

Orange & White Kitten
I thought my blog
needed something
cute and fuzzy.
Many people come to my blog via google images to see this orange and white kitten, so here is some background on this cute kitten. When we were picking out a kitten, we brought 2 home to 'try out'. This kitten sat still like this on the couch and hardly moved. The other kitten was hard to even photograph because she kept moving so much. I wanted this kitten. The rest of the family wanted the other kitten. We named our kitten Marshmallow & sadly returned the orange & white one to it's mother. I am adding a picture of Marshmallow so you can see her too, as she is also quite cute.
Brother & Sister
Marshmallow, on the otherhand explored all over the place and would not sit still. She is 4 years old now and to this day, will not sit still.
